My stay at Tanini Sepilok was a mixed experience. while the location near the Rainforest Discovery Centre was fantastic, there were definitely some downsides. The room, although clean and air-conditioned, had drainage issues that made the shower area quite unpleasant. The meals were tasty, but the overall dining options were limited.

The accommodations were modern yet comfortable, perfect for enjoying the lush rainforest surroundings. While the breakfast could use some improvement, the overall experience was truly nice. 🌿🌄

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Sepilok B&B. The location was fantastic for accessing the Rainforest Discovery Centre, but I encountered some challenges with the dining options and room comfort. The staff were friendly and helpful, but communication breakdowns created some frustrations. Overall, it’s a nice spot for nature enthusiasts, but improvements could enhance the stay significantly.

The dorm room was clean and had effective air conditioning, which was a relief in the heat. However, it could get quite hot without it, and the beds were uncomfortable with hard pillows. There were also no lockable cupboards for valuables.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing recommendations for local attractions. However, I experienced communication issues regarding payment and room costs, which was frustrating.
Location

The location was excellent, just a short walk to both the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Rainforest Discovery Centre. I loved being immersed in nature and close to these amazing wildlife experiences.
Dining

The dining options were quite limited, with food often being oily and lacking variety. I was disappointed when I arrived for lunch shortly after the designated times and found the kitchen closed. Breakfast was decent but basic, leaving me wanting more choices.
Facilities

The facilities were adequate, with a nice atmosphere, but the restaurant's limited hours for service meant I often had to wait long periods, especially for food and drinks.

I had a pleasant stay at Tanini Sepilok. The room was clean and basic, but I encountered issues with drainage in the shower. The food was tasty, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel at home. However, I felt the mattress was hard, impacting my sleep quality. Overall, it was a decent experience with a few downsides. 😊

The Gajah room I stayed in was clean and air-conditioned, though basic. The mattress was uncomfortably hard, and drainage issues in the sink and shower detracted from my stay.

Dining

The breakfast and dinner options were quite good, with a fair selection that was tasty. However, I did find portion sizes at lunch quite small.
Facilities

The facilities include a laundry service which I found useful, although the room cleanliness was just average with a few stains noticed. Wi-Fi availability was another concern, as it didn't work well.

My stay at Tanini Sepilok was quite enjoyable. The lodge's peaceful atmosphere and proximity to the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries were highlights. However, the food options were decent yet not particularly impressive and the dorms could use more privacy. Overall, it was a comfortable and clean place for a short retreat.

Rooms
8.0
I found the dorm rooms spacious and clean, though the lack of curtains and distant outlets were drawbacks. The comfortable beds made up for these issues.

The lodge's location was ideal, situated just a short walk from both the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries, allowing easy access to nature's wonders.
Dining

While the meals were tasty and fairly priced, the limited variety left something to be desired.

The lodge was clean and well-maintained, with ample green spaces to relax and observe nature. The pool area was nice, though more loungers would be a welcome addition.
